What could be more even than a pair of twins? Die Kreatur sing about a unique couple in the song ‘Unzertrennlich’ – ‘Inseparable.’
The album ‘Panoptikum’ tells the story of a creature, of different mythical creatures and vampires. What I love about this album is the dark, gothic feel combined with metal music and pop-influences. The lyrics are pretty grim. As a non-German person with only a basic understanding of the German language, I don’t get all of their lyrics. I do love the parts that I do get, like I wrote about the song ‘Benutz Mich‘.
The song ‘Unzertrennlich’ could be interpreted as being about conjoined twins, or maybe two creatures created simultaneously in a laboratory. I don’t have any siblings of the same blood myself, and I’ve often wondered what that would be like. Would they have been like me? Would we have been close? Those are questions I’ll never know the answer to, so instead, I’ll just listen to this song and ponder their philosophies.
