The red scarf was the first, the Ooooh! one is
the one we currently used most. And yes, we sometimes use bondage tape too πŸ˜‰

I love blindfolds. Almost every time we play, there’s a blindfold around my eyes. And if it doesn’t close off my eyesight enough, I’ll close my eyes myself. To me, it’s an instant journey into a submissive mindset and one step closer to subspace. So surely that counts for masks too? Well, that’s not really the case.

Which Blindfold

For years we searched for the right blindfold. One that didn’t hurt or pinch and did constrict my sight. Even the luxurious leather ones weren’t right for us. One of the first products I ever tested was a BDSM-scarf, a simple piece of fabric satin-style. That one we used for many years as a simple blindfold. Today we use another version that was in one of the sets I tested, but it’s still the same principle. My Dominant loves being able to tie it around my hair as well, and it’s a simple, safe solution.

Respons

The fact that I love blindfolds so much is because I’m immediately dependent on my Dominant. He’ll take me from one room to the next while I can’t see and it still bogs me how difficult this is. I think I know where I am, but usually, I’m still two meters off.
To me, it’s an immediate sign to let go and trust my Dom. It always works.
I also like not having to see myself. I have trouble reconciling the slutty side of myself and seeing it happen in real life. I prefer for it to happen but while I can still ignore it’s really me who’s doing all these nasty things. Yes, that also counts for light bondage and spankings.
Once blind, I can focus on my sensations and enjoy how it feels. It also makes me worry less.

Hoods

We have one mask that covers my head completely. You’d think I’d love such an item. I don’t. We only used it once or twice, but it made me go in full panic mode. I don’t know why. I don’t have any prior experience being abused while wearing just a garment. It was very uncomfortable, and the incident triggered me.
Another thing is that it made me look like a gimp, which is not something my Dominant enjoys. He prefers to read my facial features during play, and a simple blindfold leaves enough for him to read. A full face-mask doesn’t and hides everything necessary.

Essential

So yes, to us, to me, blindfolds are an essential part of our BDSM play. I like how it shuts me off from the world and from my daily life and makes me depend on my Dominant. It’s a simple tool, and while we use an official ‘BDSM scarf’, of course, any scarf will do.
I know this isn’t the case for everyone, but if you’re new and curious, just try it out and see how and if it works for you. To me, it unlocks a whole range of sensations. And it’s a sure way to get me in the mood.

  1. I can so relate to what you say about mindset and that initial requirement for trust and reliance on your Dom. It works for me the same way and I enjoy not being able to see what is going to happen next as it allows me to experience things on a more sensory level. Missy x

    1. Yeah, I was scared while wearing the full hood. Not the one on the picture, but a thicker, denser one. The real gimp version 😣
I think blindfolds have a purpose in play, if it’s not too disruptive to your session ☺️
